Having completed degrees in History and Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorhonne, complemented by a postgraduate DEA (Diplôme d'études approfondies) in Intellectual Property, Corinne Hershkovitch joined the law firm of Henri Leclerc in January 1992.
Committed to the return of cultural property and in provenance research, she has specialised in art law and has chaired ASTRES (Association pour le Soutien aux Travaux de Recherche Engagés) since 2019.
She lectures regularly on university programmes, notably at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, Université Lyon III, and Université Saint-Étienne, as well as at Sciences Po Paris and the École du Louvre. Having contributed to its creation, she teaches in the University Diploma "Provenance Research of Works of Art” at Université Paris Nanterre.
Corinne Hershkovitch also takes part in a number of working group including the one devoted to orphan cultural objects under the auspices of UNIDROIT and ProHumstra, a group at the University of Strasbourg devoted to human remains. The author of numerous articles and books, she speaks regularly at conferences in France and internationally.
Nans Méger is an Attorney at Law whose practice covers art law, cultural heritage law and intellectual property.
He completed the Franch preparatory classes (classes préparatoires) in the BL stream (hypokhâgne/khâgne), and holds a Franco-German double Master's degree in Business Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln), as well as a Master 2 in Industrial and Artistic Property from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
He has developed substantial experience advising professionals and organisations in contemporary art - including artists, galleries, public and private institutions, collectors and art advisers - combining legal rigour with a practical understanding of artistic and operational considerations. He supports clients both in structuring their projects and in protecting and enhancing their rights.
Nans Méger is a member of ASTRES.

Léa Fouché has been admitted to the Paris Bar since December 2022 and has a strong academic background in art market law.
She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Law and Art History from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas and Université Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV) together with a Master's in Business Law and a Master 2 in Art Market and Artistic Heritage from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
Her work covers a broad range of matters relating to art works and cultural heritage, with a particular focus on contract law, the civil and criminal liability of art market participants, and criminal law.
Léa Fouché is also involved in cases concerning the tracing and location of cultural property issues of spoliation. She is a member of the ASTRES association.
She joined Cabinet Corinne Hershkovitch in 2022 and works in French and English.

The provenance research department carries out in-depth archival and documentary research and prepares full provenance reports, underpinned by a rigorous methodology.
Marie Duflot is a doctoral researcher undertaking her work under a CIFRE scheme (Convention Industrielle de Formation par la Recherche) in partnership with Cabinet Corinne Herschkovitch and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS)
Her thesis focuses on provenance research and seeks to contribute to its recognition as an autonomous field of study, with a clear and widely acknowledged methodology..
She holds the University Diploma (DU) “Provenance Research of Works of Art” (Université Paris Nanterre) and an L.L.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University. Since 2021, she has coordinated Astres and has been a member of the Collectif pluridisciplinaire de recherche de provenance (CPRP) since its creation.

Founded in 2017 by Corinne Hershkovitch, Cabinet Corinne Hershkovitch draws on recognised expertise and longstanding experience in art law and cultural property law.
The firm advises artists, collectors, public and private institutions, estates, and the wider range of participants in the art market on the legal issues specific to this sector.
